summer outing
i'm finally figuring out the plans of our summer trip, but i really shouldn't say ''finally'' because it's been playing in my head for a few weeks now. i've written down ideas, do's and don'ts must see's, tallies, prices, and all currency conversions over and over again-each draft different then the last. some may call me an overplanner (my husband). i just call it being prepared! so here's what i've got so far..
-amsterdam for four nights..museums, parks, canals..and of course coffee shops :o)
then a train to heidelberg, germany for 2 nights (possibly 3 but I have to be sure we can afford it)
I'd love to see the castle, and medieval bridge. I think Heidelberg will be a beautiful old town to explore and take a lot interesting pictures.
-nuremberg (also contemplating the three night stay). I know nuremberg is going to be quite the exciting city. durer's house, beer gardens, medieval architecture galore, and of course extensive nazi history.
then we'd like to take a train to a small town named eisenach which is located towards the center of germany. i'm dying to see the wartburg castle. originally, i planned to skip it, but i knew i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i bailed out on seeing as many castles as possible. so we're just going to split the train ride to berlin with this break in thuringia..which brings me to mention..
-4 nights in berlin, our nightlife heavy destination. it would be great to see felix, after all, i do owe him a slice of pizza.
