mmm

fish and potatoes. fish and potatoes. fish and potatoes. it's all i've been eating nowadays, but that's alright, it's quite tasty. let's just hope i don't get to sick of it. i woke up this afternoon, and stuck it in the microwave. instant hot food..and back in the day, they couldn't even reheat things..let alone preserve it. ahh the joys of modern day.

just have to be wary of these fish bones. if i accidentally swallow them, am i going to feel them shredding my insides? i doubt it..but they're pretty sharp..

behind closed doors

there's a war going on in copenhagen. these climate change ''discussions'' are summing up to be a total disaster. it makes me embarrassed to be human. there's a serious issue on the table here, and these countries can't possibly compromise and come up with some kind of agreement? what's wrong with these officials? incompetent fools i say! all blinded by money.that'll be the cause for destruction, greed and money. no surprise there. it's all a big joke.

the golden key

kitsch.fur is kitsch

christmas shopping is unofficially done. i still need to buy one more gift for someone. the mall was loaded with people as usual, and guðni and i hated every minute of it. icelandic people are drawn to anything fur, as was demonstrated by this stand that sold everything from fur shrugs to hats, gloves, and coats. i'm assuming it was fake. nevertheless i just think anything fur is outrageously tacky. KITSCH.

i also bought some christmas gifts for myself, just a few cd's.

..spirits.

olá decided to reveal something she doesn't tell often. she confessed to me that she has the ability to see dead people. i know it sounds completely insane, but she was being serious. i usually don't believe in psychics or sixth senses, but this leads me to ask myself, why would she lie? i had no idea olá had any type of psychic ability, and i'm still not sure if i truly believe it.

she stated that she always sees the same spirits following me around, (but i'm not sure if it is during the same time) she said there was a woman in her late twenties who wears sandals..and a little girl who is always trying to get my attention. i asked her, what does it mean? olá said she's not sure, she hasn't had the time to speak to them. we're planning on doing a tarot card reading..i wonder what will happen then..

she's not the koo koo type, she's a normal woman, with a clear mind..and she sees the dead.

another strange thing happened, out of the blue she asked me, ''why are you afraid to be artistic? you have it in you.'' i said..well, i guess it's because i'm afraid of failure. then she said, i should take up sewing..which is strange because i've really been wanting to sew my own historical garments. hmm

i don't know.

"Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person is still going to think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with."

blank..completely blank

that's the last time i decided to walk for 15 minutes while it's pouring rain. geez, what the hell was i thinking? by the time i arrived at mjódd, my jacket, socks and shoes were completely soaked. i've hung everything up on the heater, now i just have to wait it out. i wonder if there is any danger in putting clothes on the heater for prolonged amounts of time. is the staff room going to go up in a blaze?..eh i doubt it. i had no other choice but to put on some god awful florescent orange crocs. what a nightmare. why were crocs even popular? they aren't more comfortable to me, i'd rather be wearing a regular ol' pair of sneakers.

three hours and counting..still rain.

summer outing

i'm finally figuring out the plans of our summer trip, but i really shouldn't say ''finally'' because it's been playing in my head for a few weeks now. i've written down ideas, do's and don'ts must see's, tallies, prices, and all currency conversions over and over again-each draft different then the last. some may call me an overplanner (my husband). i just call it being prepared! so here's what i've got so far..

-amsterdam for four nights..museums, parks, canals..and of course coffee shops :o)

then a train to heidelberg, germany for 2 nights (possibly 3 but I have to be sure we can afford it)
I'd love to see the castle, and medieval bridge. I think Heidelberg will be a beautiful old town to explore and take a lot interesting pictures.

-nuremberg (also contemplating the three night stay). I know nuremberg is going to be quite the exciting city. durer's house, beer gardens, medieval architecture galore, and of course extensive nazi history.

then we'd like to take a train to a small town named eisenach which is located towards the center of germany. i'm dying to see the wartburg castle. originally, i planned to skip it, but i knew i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i bailed out on seeing as many castles as possible. so we're just going to split the train ride to berlin with this break in thuringia..which brings me to mention..

-4 nights in berlin, our nightlife heavy destination. it would be great to see felix, after all, i do owe him a slice of pizza.
